About this playlist
One of the most celebrated contemporary classical composers, Arvo Pärt found his unique voice in a reverie of simplicity and self-imposed silence. “Little bells” or “tintinnabuli” is a compositional technique which Pärt developed after years of studying Renaissance polyphony and Gregorian chant. His style is painstakingly minimal, focusing on only the most essential and concentrated components, which are often united into one, inseparable ensemble.
